Mission and Vision
The Black Extension Professionals (BEP) organization is the first of its kind for UTIA. BEP is an employee resource group dedicated to supporting and providing opportunities for Black employees to engage, network, and build community. BEP strives to foster an environment conducive to personal and professional development.
Our organization offers members opportunities to participate in professional development sessions, community engagement, philanthropic efforts, social and recreational activities, and personal support initiatives. Specifically, we aim to help members connect, recharge, and access resources for success in their respective counties. Our goal is to build a community based on trust and respect, and we invite you to join us!
This is open to all staff, including agents, specialists, area specialists, professionals, researchers, administrative assistants, extension specialists, extension assistants, administrative associates, coordinators, communications staff, IT professionals, and any other exempt and non-exempt positions.
